Events to mark the UMCAT Silver Jubilee (#UMCATat25) celebrations have come so early at Uganda’s leading Journalism Institute.
This has started with a corporate social responsibility of giving back to the people that have supported us throughout this great journey.
In a meeting between the management and some former student leaders, it was agreed that the school offers considerable tuition discount to all new students joining this January.
In this resolution, January intake students will be able to study on a tuition free program where they will only incur a small operation fee, which must be fully paid during entry.
The silver jubilee celebrations will take place on 23rd October 2021. We look forward to continue skilling and transforming the next generation journalists.
UMCAT School of journalism and Mass communication was established in 1996 with the aim of providing progressive and highly relevant professional training and education in Journalism, Multimedia Communication and Business Management.
For over 24 years, UMCAT has been building the nation through producing professional journalists, a move that has won the Bukesa- Nakulabye based institution a lot of accolades and a prestigious title of being the leading journalism institution in the region.
We are a purely hands on institution with intakes in January and August. Registration for new students is still in progress till September 10th 2020.
