The National Certificate in Secretarial and Office Management equips students with practical office, communication, secretarial and administrative skills. It develops the competencies required for effective office support and professional administrative work.
Students study bookkeeping, communication, office practice, shorthand and typewriting, supported by real-life projects. They progress to advanced typewriting and shorthand, computer applications, economics, entrepreneurship, work ethics, business law, customer care and reprography.
Classroom learning, practical activities and industrial training provide workplace exposure in office communication, documentation, typing, administrative support and customer service. The programme supports opportunities as a secretary, office assistant, receptionist, administrative assistant, customer-care professional or other office-support practitioner.
