Happy New Year wishes from UMCAT
Even the sweetest melody comes to an end. Here we’re again at the end of yet another year. We have all gotten a year old, a year smarter, a year more experienced, and a year more educated. That’s wonderful indeed.
2022 has been better than its two predecessors that had us all cornered and worried sick about how life was getting harder with the increasing episodes of the covid 19 pandemic. This year has seen ease if not a removal of all Covid 19 restrictions. We have had only one lockdown for Ebola which we have successfully gotten over. All students, who wished, have resumed in-person classes and many who had fallen behind have been able to catch up.
Though the economies continue to struggle and the war in Ukraine has somewhat taken another toll on us all. 2022 has been a livelier year compared to 2020 and 2021. We at UMCAT School of Journalism and Mass Communication have been able to engage in multiple outdoor fun activities such as our annual sports gala, tournaments, get-together events, and our recent graduation ceremony with zero covid 19 restrictions.
We are therefore walking into 2023 bustling with the optimism of things being better than they have been. Now that the school terms and semesters have all been restored to their normal timelines, we believe in more students enrolling and acquiring the right education they need to prepare for the future. We have hope that the economy will heal too, that the inflation will go down and the cost of living will become cheaper again.
So, say HELLO!! to 2023. Dust your shoes and buckle up for yet another adventure. Make your plans and set goals to achieve for it’s going to be a wonderful year of a bountiful harvest.
One goal you can set for 2023 is getting that degree, diploma, or certificate or sharpening your career with a short course that will make you more indispensable and sought after in the marketplace.
