UMCAT’S 14th Graduation is ready and set.
UMCAT School of Journalism and Mass Communication’s 14th graduation is set and ready! So, get your dancing shoes and party dress out for come 20th December, in the thickest of our Christmas moods. We will be dancing to jubilation tones as 300 students graduate with Diplomas in Journalism and Mass Communication.
The 14th graduation theme is, “consolidating multimedia training for socio-economic transformation.”
Multimedia is a very crucial ingredient in the catalyst for the socio-economic development of any society. That’s why we at UMCAT School of Journalism and Mass Communication are re-emphasizing this, and giving Uganda yet another 300 trained, tested, and qualified multimedia prodigies who will aid Uganda’s socio-economic growth goals.
This year’s graduation is no ordinary one in many ways. It comes with many students who have studied for close to 4 years for their diploma due to the ups and downs created by the Covid19 pandemic. It also comes with several old students who had studied and completed but didn’t graduate. UMCAT’s administration has been reaching out to many of them to take this opportunity and many have responded positively.
The 14th graduation also comes with several familiar public faces such as Olivia Nakakande, a former miss Uganda and a great advocate of tree planting, and Caroline Marcah, “a hot” TV presenter and close friend of MC KATS of NBS TV.
From the administration of UMCAT School of Journalism and Mass Communication to you, this 14th Graduation is our Christmas gift, we can never think of anything better than helping the next generation prepare to take on the world and make it better. Therefore, we hope the 300 will be a force that will positively impact the rest of the 8 billion of the world.
