Beginning an August semester is like…
A clean slate, a fresh start, a second chance in life, a new beginning, or setting on a new path in life.
Whatever you are defining this new chapter as I hope it’s good enough for you. One thing I am sure about though, this is going to be entirely an amazing experience for you.
Higher learning is more empowering, more focused, and centered on growth towards your goals and purpose in life. It’s also a more discovery journey than High school because you’re more encouraged and permitted than limited, to dig deeper into what you want, who you want to be, and things you want to do on an individual basis than in a high school where you’re handled as a class, and as a child.
After going through the drear enrollment process. You should look at it as applying for a green card to the land of opportunities, and hey! YOU GOT IT!
Now what is left of you to do is make “the land of opportunities” work for you.
What am trying to say is, that everything is now completely in your hands, besides tuition payment I guess.
At UMCAT School of Journalism and Mass Communication, you will have everything you need to do what you want and turn into who you want to become. UNCENSORED. Maybe just a little.
So I can only urge you to push yourself, put yourself out more, go for what you want, and do not hold back, or let anything, or anyone stand in your path to greatness.
That is how it’s done on this end of town.
If a lecturer misses a class, report. And if they miss again, raise your voice even more strongly. If you need help, don’t fear to ask. If a few things are dragging you down. Cut them off.
This is how your clean slate begins. It doesn’t mean that it won’t get dirty. But you can always wipe clean all over again, and keep moving.
For us at UMCAT School of Journalism and Mass Communication, we want to wish you a happy new semester, here with us or wherever you have chosen to begin this new chapter.
Good luck and may all the odds be in your favor.
